Job summary

Apex Group's Dallas office is seeking an Assistant Manager, Real Assets to lead accounting for real estate private equity funds. You will review daily journal entries, track capital calls and distributions, and prepare financial statements and partner capital statements.

You will supervise junior staff, coordinate with clients, auditors, and tax advisors to close year-end requirements, and support ad-hoc projects and data conversions as needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of private equity accounting experience.
• CPA is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience supervising junior staff.
• Real estate private equity fund accounting knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review daily journal entries for real estate private equity funds.
• Track capital calls and distributions to investors.
• Prepare/Review monthly and quarterly trial balance workpapers.
• Prepare/Review financial statements and partner capital statements.
• Assist with ad-hoc reporting and investor requests.
• Assist onboarding of new entities, investments, and investors in accounting system.
• Coordinate with clients, auditors, and tax providers to close year-end requirements.
• Work on ad-hoc consulting projects and data conversions as needed.
• Complete special projects as required.
