Job summary

Idaho Materials & Construction, a CRH Company, is seeking a skilled RM Sales Rep to manage concrete sales and customer service for residential and commercial customers in the Pocatello, Idaho Falls and Rexburg areas of Southeast Idaho. You will develop accurate bids, read blueprints, and coordinate with contractors, dispatchers, and plant managers to deliver top-tier service while promoting safety and quality.

Strong knowledge of concrete mix designs is required.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
  • 1–2 years related experience and/or training.
  • Must read and interpret blueprints and plans.
  • Knowledge of concrete mix designs and aggregates.
  • Five years in concrete industry preferred; three years professional sales preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Fulfill customer needs and services for residential and commercial customers.
  • Communicate with contractors, dispatchers and plant managers.
  • Create accurate bids and proposals.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and plans.
  • Provide comprehensive customer service.
  • Verify sales tickets and pricing for customers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Position Overview

This is a skilled position requiring the effective management of concrete sales and customer service to residential and commercial customers for Idaho Materials & Construction, Ready Mix Concrete division in the Pocatello, Idaho Falls and Rexburg areas of Southeast Idaho.

Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)
  • Will be responsible for fulfilling customer needs and services
  • RM Sales Rep will communicate with contractors, dispatchers and plant managers
  • Will create accurate bids and proposals
  • Must be able to read and interpret blue prints and plans
  • Will perform customer service in varying degrees
  • Will verify sales tickets and pricing for customers
  • Other duties as assigned per the supervisor
Qualifications

Education/Experience
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • One (1) to two (2) years related experience and/or training.
Knowledge/Skill Requirements
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Basic knowledge of Command Alkon.
  • Knowledge of concrete mix designs and aggregates.
  • Five years in concrete industry preferred.
  • Three years professional sales experience preferred.
  • Excellent customer service skills Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write clearly and effectively.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiple and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed, but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to work well with others in a group or one on one setting.
