Job summary

Idaho Materials & Construction, a CRH Company, is hiring a Driver/Delivery (CDL) to operate ready mix trucks in Boise, ID. Deliveries will be made to commercial and residential sites, with emphasis on safety, accuracy, and teamwork.

Duties include pre/post-trip inspections, unloading concrete, and truck/chute operation. Qualified candidates will have a CDL Class A/B and a DOT Medical Card, with 1–2 years of related experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 1–2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; be able to write simple correspondence.
• Must possess a valid CDL Class A or B and a valid Medical Card per DOT standard.

Responsibilities

• Maintains equipment in a safe and clean condition.
• Performs pre- and post-trip truck inspections.
• Verifies mix specifications after loading and at the job site.
• Aligns mixer drum under disbursement chute to receive product.
• Drives ready mix truck to delivery locations and unloads concrete.
• Cleans truck after delivery to prevent concrete buildup.
• Operates chutes to deliver product as directed.

Position Overview

Operates ready mix trucks in a safe and professional manner in the plant yard, on public highways/roads, and at various job sites to deliver products. Deliveries will be made in both commercial and residential areas.

Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)

• Maintains equipment in a safe and clean condition.
• Perform pre- and post-trip truck inspections.
• Verify general compliance with mix specifications after loading and at job site.
• Aligns mixer drum under disbursement chute at the plant to receive product into the mixer truck drum.
• Drive ready mix truck to location for unloading.
• Operate ready mix truck to release concrete down truck chute into area to be poured with concrete.
• Cleans truck after delivery to prevent concrete from hardening in mixer and on truck
• Places and operates chutes to deliver product where directed.
• Other duties as directed by supervisor.

Education/Experience

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
