Job summary

Idaho Materials & Construction, part of the CRH family, seeks a Ready Mix Sales Representative to grow concrete sales in the Pocatello, Idaho Falls, and Rexburg areas. You will handle residential and commercial accounts, prepare bids, read blueprints, and coordinate with contractors, dispatchers, and plant managers to meet project needs.

The role requires solid communication, MS Office proficiency, and industry knowledge. Prior concrete sales experience is a plus.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; 1–2 years related experience.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Command Alkon; knowledge of concrete mix designs helpful.
  • Five years in concrete industry preferred; three years professional sales experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Fulfill customer needs and services for residential and commercial customers.
  • Communicate with contractors, dispatchers and plant managers.
  • Create accurate bids and pricing; read and interpret blueprints.
  • Perform customer service in varying degrees and verify sales tickets.
  • Support supervisor with other duties as assigned.

Position Overview

This is a skilled position requiring the effective management of concrete sales and customer service to residential and commercial customers for Idaho Materials & Construction, Ready Mix Concrete division in the Pocatello, Idaho Falls and Rexburg areas of Southeast Idaho.

Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)
  • Will be responsible for fulfilling customer needs and services
  • RM Sales Rep will communicate with contractors, dispatchers and plant managers
  • Will create accurate bids and proposals
  • Must be able to read and interpret blue prints and plans
  • Will perform customer service in varying degrees
  • Will verify sales tickets and pricing for customers
  • Other duties as assigned per the supervisor

Education/Experience
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • One (1) to two (2) years related experience and/or training.
Knowledge/Skill Requirements
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Basic knowledge of Command Alkon.
  • Knowledge of concrete mix designs and aggregates.
  • Five years in concrete industry preferred.
  • Three years professional sales experience preferred.
  • Excellent customer service skills Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write clearly and effectively.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiple and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed, but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to work well with others in a group or one on one setting.
  • Must be self-motivated.
