Job summary

Fordyce Concrete Co., a CRH company, seeks a Ready‑Mix Operations Manager to lead our plant sites with emphasis on safety, quality, and growth. You will drive daily operations, mentor teams, manage budgets, implement improvements, and partner with safety and compliance to meet targets across the Kansas City area.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in construction or plant management, strong leadership and financial acumen, and a passion for building high‑performing teams in a union shop.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field preferred (not required).
• Certifications or formal education in EHS are a plus.
• Minimum of 5 years of related construction experience strongly desired.
• Plant management experience (3+ years highly preferred).
• EHS experience (3+ years highly preferred).
• Strong understanding of basic accounting and financial principles.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and team-building skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to learn new technologies quickly.
• Demonstrated ability to solve problems and make effective decisions in dynamic environments.

• Operational Excellence: Oversee daily operations, ensure safe production, quality, and customer satisfaction.
• Continuous Improvement: Drive performance metrics and operational enhancements.
• Engaged Leadership: Communicate regularly with employees and mentor teams.
• Quality Assurance: Conduct routine jobsite inspections and address deficiencies.
• Budget & Resource Management: Develop and manage annual operating budgets.
• Training & Development: Organize training to elevate safety and operations.
• Team Building: Build high-performing teams and nurture talent.
• Compliance & Regulatory Partnership: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Site Management: Direct site managers to meet production targets within budget.
