Job summary

Cemex US is seeking a Ready-Mix Driver Trainee to learn operating concrete mixers and deliver ready-mix concrete to diverse job sites in California. You will handle loads safely, manage extension chutes, and work in varying site conditions, including uneven ground.

Responsibilities include punctuality, safe driving, adherence to safety standards, timely deliveries, load inspections, and teamwork with dispatch. CDL A/B and English proficiency are required; high school diploma preferred.

Qualifications

• CDL A or B valid license required.
• Read, write, and speak English.
• No DUI/DWI in last 5 years; no more than 3 moving violations in past 3 years.
• High school diploma preferred; bilingual a plus.
• FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse clearance required.
• Airbrake endorsement may be required in certain areas.

Responsibilities

• Punctuality: arrive on time and prepared to work, reporting to the Driver Trainer at shift start.
• Safely drive the ready-mix truck to and from job sites and ensure delivery of concrete loads.
• Adhere to all safety regulations (CEMEX, DOT, OSHA) to maintain a safe work environment.
• Ensure safe and timely delivery of concrete loads to job sites.
• Inspect and adjust loads for safe and proper delivery.
• Maintain cleanliness and readiness of the ready-mix truck and equipment.
• Provide professional customer service and coordinate with dispatch and team members.
