Job summary

Builders Supply, A CRH company, is seeking a Ready Mix Driver in Lake Charles, LA to operate ready mix trucks and deliver concrete to construction sites and company facilities. You will maintain driver logs, perform safety inspections, and follow dispatcher directions with a strong emphasis on safety.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, a CDL A or B, and at least 2 years of mixer truck experience. Willingness to travel and work nights/weekends is expected.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and follow detailed instructions from supervisors and DOT guidelines.
• Ability to perform basic math for time and material records.
• Strong attention to safety, quality, and customer service.
• Ability to operate heavy equipment and read blueprints or project docs.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily pre/post trip inspections with documentation per DOT guidelines.
• Load and unload materials.
• Monitor gauges during truck operation.
• Maintain daily vehicle mileage logs.
• Follow all company policies for a safe work environment.
• Obey dispatch instructions and applicable laws.
• Ensure product quality and safe handling of materials.
• Perform minor servicing and refer major problems to supervisor.
• Keep vehicle clean and in good condition.
• Regular and predictable attendance; willingness to travel as required.
