Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Commercial Class A or B CDL with airbrakes and tank endorsement.
• Current DOT Medical Certificate required.
• Clean driving record with minimal violations.
• Flexibility to work variable hours including weekends/nights.
• Ability to read maps and follow GPS directions.
• Experience in ready-mix or heavy construction preferred.
• Physical ability to lift up to 60 lbs and perform demanding duties.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Deliver ready-mix concrete to various job sites.
• Operate a multi-axle mixer truck safely and obey traffic laws.
• Clean and wash vehicle, remove concrete buildup on exterior parts.
• Willingness to work according to customer demands.
• Operate a radio to communicate with company personnel.
• Adhere to safety regulations and company policies.

The Ready-Mix Driver will be responsible for all duties of the position, including the transporting of freshly mixed concrete from the batch plant to the job site in a safe manner. This individual will be responsible for making normal operating adjustments to the equipment and material being hauled. Compensation

$20.00-$40.50 per hour | DOE

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily pre-trip/post-trip vehicle inspections
• Deliver ready-mix concrete to various job sites
• Operate a multi-axle mixer truck safely, obeying all traffic laws
• Clean and wash vehicle to include the removal of concrete buildup on all exterior parts of the mixer
• Must be willing to work according to customer demands
• Operate a radio to communicate with company personnel
• Adhere to all safety regulations including company policies, state, and federal regulations
• Responsible for reporting all incidents/injuries to management as soon as they occur
• Attend safety meetings as scheduled by management

Education

High School Diploma/GED

Requirements/Qualifications

• Must have currentCommercial Class A or B driver’s license with airbrakes and tank endorsement
• Safe driving record - no serious moving violations within the past 36 months; no more than two moving violations within the past 24 months
• Must have a current Department of Transportation (DOT) Medical Certificate
• Ability to read a map and understand verbal and GPS driving route instructions
• Must have familiarity with slumps
• Good attendance and punctuality a must
• Ability to work in extremes of hot and cold weather
• Must have the physical ability to: climb, stoop, bend, squat, frequently lift extension chutes (up to 60 lbs.), stretch, drive/sit and shift gears
• Adhere to all safety regulations including company policies, State, and Federal regulations
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule with flexible hours, hours vary; overtime work, weekends, early mornings and nights, may be required

Preferred:

• Experience in ready-mix or heavy construction industries
• 2+ years of commercial driving experience

Conditions of Employment

Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check. FMCSA regulated and safety sensitive positions require on-going drug and alcohol testing.
