Job summary

Knife River is seeking a professional CDL driver to deliver ready mix concrete to various projects. The role requires safe driving, timely deliveries, and adherence to safety policies.

Typical schedule is Monday to Friday 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM with Saturday as needed; benefits are included and home every night. Applicants must have a valid CDL, clean MVR/DOT records, and pass pre-employment checks.

Qualifications

• Minimum truck driving experience; concrete experience preferred but not required.
• Must possess and maintain a valid commercial driver’s license, clean MVR and DOT/CDL records.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English sufficiently to comply with FMCSA regulations and complete required records.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive and deliver ready mix concrete to commercial, construction, and residential projects.
• Complete pre- and post-trip inspections on truck equipment.
• Document each delivery and complete all necessary paperwork.
• Develop product knowledge and understand the importance of quality and service.
• Wash residual concrete from the truck and maintain a clean appearance per Knife River policies.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures to prevent unsafe actions or behaviors.
• Timely and regular attendance is essential.

ROLE OVERVIEW:

Our drivers are home every night, and we offer competitive wages with a full benefits package.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (minimum educational, experience, or other relevant job requirements)

• Previous truck driving experience (concrete experience preferred but not required).
• Possess and maintain a valid commercial driver’s license, clean MVR record and DOT/CDL records.
  
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English sufficiently to comply with FMCSA regulations, understand traffic signs, communicate with law enforcement, and complete required records.

DUTIES AND/OR RESPONSIBILITIES (summary of components that make up the job)

• Safely drive and deliver ready mix concrete to commercial, construction and residential projects.
• Complete pre and post trip inspections on truck equipment.
• Document each delivery and complete all paperwork that may be necessary.
• Develop product knowledge and understand the importance of quality & service.
• Wash residual concrete from the truck and maintain a clean appearance by complying with Knife River’s operational policies, procedures and standards.
• Assure all safety policies and procedures are followed to prevent any and all unsafe actions, processes and behaviors observed.
• Other duties assigned as needed.
• Timely and regular attendance is essential.

• Ability to lift 50 lbs. a number of times a day.
  
• Ability to pass a pre-employment criminal background check, physical/functional exam and drug screen.
  
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends, nights and overtime.
