Job summary

Heidelberg Materials is seeking a Ready Mix Driver to safely operate concrete trucks and deliver materials to customer sites across Florida. You will perform pre-trip inspections, complete documentation, and load/unload materials while upholding safety standards.

Strong communication with dispatch and customers is essential for coordinating timely deliveries. The role requires a valid CDL, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to safety in varying job-site conditions.

Qualifications

What You'll Be Doing

• Safely operate a Ready Mix Concrete truck to deliver and place construction materials at customer job sites.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and complete required documentation.
• Load, transport, and unload materials efficiently while following all safety procedures.
• Communicate professionally with dispatch, customers, and team members to coordinate deliveries.
• Maintain equipment cleanliness and report maintenance or safety concerns promptly.
  

What Are We Looking For

• Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with the ability to operate a Ready Mix Truck safely and effectively.
• Strong commitment to safety, compliance, and responsible equipment operation.
• Ability to perform vehicle inspections, complete required paperwork, and follow operating procedures.
• Effective communication and customer service skills in a team-oriented environment.

Conditions of Employment

• Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check.
• Some positions require FMCSA regulated ongoing drug and alcohol testing.
  

Work Environment

• Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level.
