Job summary

Heidelberg Materials North America in the United States is seeking a Ready Mix Truck delivery driver to safely operate a concrete truck and place materials at customer sites. You will perform pre-trip inspections, load and unload materials, and coordinate with dispatch.

The role requires a CDL, commitment to safety, ability to follow procedures, and strong communication with customers and team. Union benefits and a union-backed work environment are provided.

What You'll Be Doing

• Safely operate a Ready Mix Concrete truck to deliver and place construction materials at customer job sites.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and complete required documentation.
• Load, transport, and unload materials efficiently while following all safety procedures.
• Communicate professionally with dispatch, customers, and team members to coordinate deliveries.
• Maintain equipment cleanliness and report maintenance or safety concerns promptly.

What Are We Looking For

• Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with the ability to operate a Ready Mix Truck safely and effectively.
• Strong commitment to safety, compliance, and responsible equipment operation.
• Ability to perform vehicle inspections, complete required paperwork, and follow operating procedures.
• Effective communication and customer service skills in a team-oriented environment.
• Capability to work independently, adapt to changing job site conditions, and manage delivery schedules.

Conditions of Employment

• Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check.
• Some positions require FMCSA regulated ongoing drug and alcohol testing.

Work Environment

• Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level.
