Job summary

Supermix in Miami is seeking a concrete mixer truck driver with a CDL to safely operate equipment, load and unload concrete, and deliver to job sites.

The role requires pre- and post-trip inspections, basic maintenance, adherence to safety policies, and strong customer service as you coordinate with dispatch and crews. You will work on-site, manage flexible hours during busy periods, and contribute to a safe, efficient operation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• CDL license is required and insurability must be demonstrated.
• Must meet DOT physical requirements and carry a current exam card.
• Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including late or irregular hours.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily pre- and post-trip safety checks on equipment and the truck.
• Back truck under loading hopper and start mixer to receive concrete.
• Drive to designated job sites and unload concrete, ensuring proper discharge.
• Assemble the concrete chute and control discharge per specifications.
• Wash out truck after delivery to prevent concrete hardening in mixer and on truck.
• Perform minor vehicle maintenance and follow dispatch instructions while maintaining safety.

Job description

• Abide by Company Safety Program and Policies, while performing duties safely.
• Perform daily pre- and post-trip safety check on equipment and the truck to assure a safe vehicle.
• Document & Report any maintenance that may be required.
• Backs truck under loading hopper, starts mixer to receive concrete.
• Follows guidelines and instructions by dispatch personnel.
• Drive the truck to designated job sites for unloading. Must be able to distinguish between safe and unsafe conditions at the job site, in traffic and throughout plant areas.
• Assemble the concrete chute and attach chute to the back of the truck.
• Control the appropriate levers on the truck to discharge concrete according to specifications
• Wash out truck and after delivery to prevent concrete from hardening in mixer and on truck.
• Perform minor maintenance to the assigned vehicle--tire pressure, oil change, lube job--as needed.

Education and/or Experience

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Must have a CDL

Other Skills and Abilities:

• Must meet insurability for driving requirements of the company.
• Must meet the Department of Transportation (DOT) physical requirements and carry a physical exam card, which is to be kept current according to DOT guidelines.

Other Qualifications:

• Must be able to work a flexible work schedule during busy season. Must be able to work late or irregular hours. Previous knowledge of construction and construction products is helpful. Must understand and maintain the internal and external customer service responsibilities of the position.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, use hands and fingers to handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 60 pounds to shoulder height. Must be able to lift, place and set warehouse products as required during load preparation, loading, and unloading. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Must wear protective devices as required by the company safety policy in the performance of the job.
