Starting at $22.53 per hour, depending on experience

Position Overview

Operates a multi-rear axle truck to transport freshly mixed concrete from the central mix plant to various roadway projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive loaded trucks from the plant to job sites, ensuring the quality of the ready mix concrete during transport.
• Adjust equipment as needed; maintain cleanliness of the vehicle interior and exterior.
• Assist with pouring operations by operating chutes as required.
• Follow all safety policies, OSHA/MSHA regulations, and wear PPE in designated areas.
• Follow instructions from supervisors regarding daily tasks and project-specific requirements.
• Conduct daily pre- and post-trip inspections, documenting findings per company policy.
• Maintain a professional, courteous attitude towards customers, co-workers, and supervisors.
• Dependable attendance and punctuality are essential.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, candidates must meet the following minimum requirements:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Previous experience in construction or concrete delivery preferred.

Work Requirements

• Operate a multi-axle ready-mix truck safely and efficiently.
• Adhere to safety policies and procedures.
• Report to work on time and work overtime, nights, and weekends as needed.
• Travel and work away from home when required.

Knowledge and Skills

• Valid CDL B license with necessary endorsements; air brake skills test required.

Physical Requirements

The physical demands of this job include:

• Climbing, lifting (40-70 lbs.), carrying (up to 50 lbs.), bending, pushing/pulling (up to 70 lbs.), reaching, kneeling, stooping, twisting, and exposure to noise, fumes, gases, and dust.
• Use of personal protective equipment such as hard hats, safety glasses, vests, gloves, steel-toed shoes, and hearing protection.
