Sign-On Bonus: $1,500

Pay Rate: $22.75/hour (Depending on Experience)

Position Overview

Operates a multi-rear axle truck to transport freshly mixed concrete from the central mix plant to roadway projects.

Key Responsibilities

1. Drive the truck from the ready mix plant to job sites, maintaining the integrity of the concrete.
2. Make operational adjustments to equipment; keep the vehicle clean.
3. Assist with pouring by operating chutes as needed.
4. Follow all safety policies and OSHA/MSHA regulations; wear PPE as required.
5. Follow the Foreperson's directions for daily tasks and project requirements.
6. Conduct daily pre- and post-trip inspections with proper documentation.
7. Maintain a professional and courteous attitude with customers, co-workers, and the public.
8. Ensure reliable, punctual attendance.

Qualifications

Must be able to perform essential duties satisfactorily. Education/Experience:

1. High school diploma or GED required.
2. Experience in construction or related to ready mix delivery preferred.

Work Requirements:

1. Operate a multi-axle ready mix truck safely.
2. Adhere strictly to safety policies and procedures.
3. Report to work on time.
4. Work in a team; assist with other duties as needed.
5. Availability for overtime, nights, weekends, and travel as necessary.

Knowledge/Skill Requirements:

1. Valid CDL B license with necessary endorsements; air brake skills test required.

Physical Requirements

Must meet physical demands such as climbing, lifting (40-70 lbs.), carrying (50 lbs.), bending, pushing/pulling (up to 70 lbs.), reaching, kneeling, stooping, and twisting.

Work Environment

• Exposure to noise, fumes, gases, dust, and hazards.
• Required to wear safety gear including hard hat, glasses, vest, gloves, safety shoes, and hearing protection.
• Work is in a safety-sensitive environment.
