Job summary

Centex Materials is seeking a Ready-Mix Batch Plant Operator in Austin, TX to start at $25/hour. You will oversee opening/closing, operate batch console, supervise production with plant leadership, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance.

Requires a valid CDL and ability to lift 50 lbs; experience in concrete production preferred; strong communication and math skills are essential. This role offers full-time hours.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in concrete production preferred.
• Current, valid Class A or B CDL required.
• Satisfactory driving and criminal record.
• Demonstrated effective communication skills (oral and written).
• Proficiency with basic math and measurements (percentages, additions, etc.).
• Ability to multitask and organize tasks.

Responsibilities

• Open and close plant procedures per company guidelines.
• Operate front-end loader to load material bins.
• Batch and load concrete per specifications.
• Perform daily moisture testing to ensure material quality.
• Maintain safety, PPE usage, and housekeeping standards.
• Coordinate with dispatch on plant activity to meet timelines.
• Assist Plant Manager with supervising production staff and reporting.
