Job summary

Ampact is seeking motivated individuals to join Reading Corps as Reading Tutors in Tennessee. In this role, you will help students enhance their reading skills through direct tutoring sessions. This position requires a commitment to student growth and development while providing support and encouragement.

Qualified candidates must be 18 years or older with a high school diploma or equivalent, and fluent in English. Full-time and part-time positions are available for the 2026-27 school year, offering meaningful work and a chance to make a positive impact.

Qualifications

• Dependable and have a history of good attendance.
• Able to follow instructions and make improvements based on feedback.
• Proficient in basic computer skills.
• Fluent in English for speaking, reading, and writing.
• 18 years of age or older with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• A citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident of the United States.
• Ability to successfully complete a background check.

Responsibilities

• Be a caring adult who's focused on helping children thrive.
• Lead tutoring sessions and follow a schedule to ensure students receive support.
• Track student progress and meet regularly with the school's on-site coach.
• Conduct skill assessments and enter student scores in data software.
• Commit to your own growth through coaching and training.
• Share your experience with the community.
