Job summary

Ampact's Reading Corps is looking for a Reading Tutor to empower students in local schools. You’ll conduct 20 minutes of daily reading practice with pairs of students, track progress, and coordinate with an onsite coach to ensure effective support.

The role offers daytime hours, Monday–Friday, with part-time options at 25 or 15 hours per week. The position runs January 2027 through June 2027, with a $19 per hour stipend and comprehensive education benefits.

Qualifications

• Reliability and good attendance history.
• Ability to follow instructions and apply feedback.
• Basic computer use (email, online navigation).
• Proficiency in spoken and written English.
• 18+ with HS diploma or equivalent.
• US citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident.
• Willingness to complete background check.

Responsibilities

• Lead tutoring sessions for reading and follow a school schedule.
• Track and communicate student progress with onsite coach.
• Conduct skill assessments and record scores in data software.
• Commit to ongoing coaching and professional growth.
• Share experiences and outcomes with the school community.
