Job Description

The Reading Teacher will be responsible for developing students' cognitive capacity, fostering respect for learning, and supporting a diverse student population. The role involves integrating leadership, technology, and communication into the curriculum, planning and guiding the learning process, maintaining a conducive classroom atmosphere, and engaging in professional growth activities. The teacher will work collaboratively to support the school's program and district goals.

Qualifications

• Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in education from an accredited college or university.
• Valid Teaching Certificate or the ability to obtain one with appropriate Science endorsement(s).
• Demonstrated philosophy that all students can and will learn.
• Excellent attendance record and communication skills, both oral and written.
• Knowledge of best instructional practices and positive interpersonal skills.
• Professional verification of successful classroom performance or student teaching experience.
• Willingness and ability to meet ethical and professional standards.
• Ability to foster positive relationships and work effectively with students, staff, parents, and the community.
• Commitment to continuous quality education.

Other Information

• Reports to: Building Principal
• Work Schedule: 12 months
• Hours: 8:00 am - 4:00 pm, 8 hours/day
