Job summary

Qualifications

• Valid teaching certificate in AZ and meeting certification requirements.
• Minimum of five years teaching reading with at least three years in literacy.
• Reading Specialist Endorsement is mandatory.
• Knowledge of AZ ELA Standards and MTSS.
• Must pass background check and possess IVP Fingerprint clearance.

Responsibilities

• Direct reading intervention daily to students and monitor progress.
• Deliver targeted, research-based reading instruction and interventions.
• Monitor progress using district assessments and adjust interventions accordingly.
• Coach teachers in scientifically based reading research for classroom instruction.
• Develop school-wide literacy plan and strategies for implementation.
