Oswego Community Unit School District 308 seeks a Reading Specialist for leave coverage at Churchill Elementary School. The selected teacher will implement reading programs, assess student progress, and collaborate with staff to support literacy development.

This temporary role runs from 11/20/26 with ongoing TBD assignments. Qualified candidates hold an Illinois PEL with Elementary Education endorsement and have strong communication and classroom-management skills.

Qualifications

• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with Elementary Education endorsement.
• Recent elementary-level teaching experience preferred.
• Knowledge of curriculum, instructional methods, and current teaching techniques.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and time management skills.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with students, families, and colleagues.

• Deliver engaging reading instruction and monitor student progress.
