Pay Rate: $26.00/hour I Hours: 29.5 hours per week I Supervisor: Director of Educational Services I Location: York City School District I Classification: Part‑Time/Contingent/non‑exempt I Schedule: Monday through Friday except for parent‑teacher conference days and 6 designated early dismissal days; approximately 6 hours per workday. Also includes 5 designated days of professional development.
For the 2026-2027 school year, the program runs from August 2026, through the end of May 2027. (Not to exceed 174 days of instruction).
The Reading Interventionist works with kindergarten through eighth grade students in small groups to improve skills in reading, writing, listening, and speaking. Students are selected to work with literacy interventionist because they are below grade level in literacy.
Candidate must enjoy being a team player and providing excellent care and service to a diverse population. The candidate should have the ability to interact with staff, families and students in a manner that demonstrates respect and dignity, and the ability to solve problems in a professional manner.
