Job summary

Marblehead Public Schools is seeking a Reading Instructional Assistant (18.5 hours/week) at Marblehead Public Glover Elementary School. You will support reading skill development and collaborate with Literacy Coaches and the building principal.

The role requires providing Tier 2 interventions, administering assessments, and maintaining confidentiality while fostering an inclusive classroom environment. 1 year of experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in school or educational settings.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the literacy coaches or building principal.
• At least 1 year of relevant experience preferred.
• Associate degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide engaging Tier 2 reading interventions to small groups of students.
• Administer benchmark and progress monitoring assessments in collaboration with classroom teachers.
• Respond to available data to inform instruction.
• Maintain student confidentiality.
• Develop a positive instructional climate that celebrates students’ differences and allows for respectful engagement.
