A leading defense contractor in Washington, DC is seeking an Intelligence Systems Special Staff Officer to support Army modernization efforts. The ideal candidate will have military intelligence experience, strong analytical skills, and a Bachelor’s degree in Business or Engineering. Overview

Opportunity Overview: CORTEK seeks a highly qualified Intelligence Systems Special Staff Officer (SSO) to serve as Key Personnel supporting Army Intelligence, Electronic Warfare (EW), and Cyber modernization efforts. This role requires military intelligence experience across tactical, operational, strategic, and national levels, and the ability to lead and synchronize working groups for high-level Army planning and decision forums.

Duties/Responsibilities
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of Army and unit equipping readiness
  • Identify root causes of Equipment on Hand (EOH) un-readiness and systemic shortages using ARMS data
  • Perform monthly trend analysis and coordinate findings with ACOMs, G-4, and AMC
  • Support efforts to increase S-Level Unit Readiness by resolving excess equipment imbalances
  • Prepare and support monthly readiness updates for Army and DCS G-8 leadership
  • Assemble briefing books and assist in meeting execution
  • Review policies and regulations related to DCS G-8 equipping equities and recommend edits
  • Analyze interoperability of capabilities across modernization levels
  • Prepare senior leaders for Strategic Readiness Tenet discussions
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Business or Engineering
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in Force Development or related duties
  • Experience at senior Army levels such as HQDA, MACOMs, or Army Service Component Commands
  • Strong analytical and coordination skills in readiness and logistics environments
Preferred Skills & Expertise
  • Interdisciplinary knowledge of:
    • Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE)
    • DoD acquisition processes (DoDI 5000.2)
    • Materiel and force structure requirements development and validation (JCIDS)
  • Experience applying force development across DOTMLPF-P domains in fiscally constrained environments
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

    • How the Army Runs (HTAR) Course
    • RQM 1010 / CLR 101: Introduction to JCIDS
    • RQM 1100 / RQM 110: Core Concepts for Requirements Management / CDC
