Job summary

AW Lumb & Co in Mansfield is seeking a reliable Class 2 Driver to join our busy branch. This hands-on role delivers building materials safely, supports the yard team and keeps customers moving with great service. You’ll load and unload, operate a Moffett if trained, complete daily vehicle checks and paperwork, and maintain high timekeeping and presentation standards.

A Driver CPC and valid Class 2 licence are essential. We value safety, teamwork and local route knowledge.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 2 (Cat C) licence and Driver CPC.
• Moffett licence preferred, or willingness to train.
• Counterbalance forklift licence is an advantage.
• Experience in a multi-drop delivery role.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Strong focus on safety, service and teamwork.
• Good knowledge of local routes and safe delivery practices.
• Reliable, organised and calm under pressure.
• High standards of timekeeping and presentation.

Responsibilities

• Delivering a wide range of building materials to customer sites across the region.
• Loading and unloading vehicles and ensuring accurate stock movement.
• Operating a Moffett safely and in line with regulations.
• Completing daily vehicle checks and defect reporting.
• Keeping your vehicle clean, safe and well presented.
• Providing a professional, friendly experience for every customer.

We’re looking for a professional Class 2 Driver to join us at AW Lumb & Co in Mansfield. This is a hands-on role at the heart of

the operation — delivering building materials safely, efficiently and with great service, every time.

What you’ll be doing
