Job summary

84 Lumber Company is seeking a full-time Truck Driver to deliver lumber and building materials to job sites, operate a forklift, and keep the yard and warehouse organized. Must hold a valid state driver’s license, maintain a clean driving record, and comply with safety guidelines. Starting pay is $17/hr with overtime opportunities and a strong emphasis on safety and reliability.

Qualifications

  • Be at least 21 years old.
  • Read and speak English sufficiently for communication and reports.
  • Safely operate a commercial motor vehicle.
  • Provide annual MVR and violations list per FMCSA.
  • Be physically qualified under FMCSA requirements.
  • Not be disqualified to drive a commercial motor vehicle.
  • Possess or obtain a valid road test certificate where required.
  • May need CDL depending on truck/hauler requirements.
  • Possess a high school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver material to customer job sites and load/unload freight.
  • Operate forklift, maintain yard and warehouse.
  • Communicate delays or discrepancies to management.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.

Responsibilities

The full-time Truck Driver is responsible for delivering material to customer job sites, forklift operation, and maintaining the lumber yard and warehouse. Must have a valid state-issued driver’s license and safe driving record. Responsibilities include:

  • Building loads for delivery and unloading freight including lumber and building supplies
  • Forklift training, certification, and operation
  • Maintaining a safe, clean and well-organized lumber yard and warehouse
  • Communicating delays or discrepancies with management

Qualifications

Be at least 21 years old.

  • Read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the general public, understand highway traffic signs and signals, respond to official inquiries, and make entries on reports and records.
  • Safely operate the assigned commercial motor vehicle.
  • Provide (on an annual basis) a true and correct copy of your Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and a list of violations or the certificate as required by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Act.
  • Be physically qualified to drive a commercial motor vehicle in accordance with the requirements of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Act
  • Not be disqualified to drive a commercial motor vehicle under the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Act.
  • Complete or have completed a driver's road test and has been issued a valid and current certificate of driver's road test, or its equivalent, in accordance with the requirements of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Act.
  • Depending on the truck and/or hauler, you may be required to have a commercial motor vehicle license
  • Depending on the truck and/or hauler, you may be required to have a valid and current Medical Exam certificate or card.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
