Job summary

North Yorkshire Centre for Independent Living in Scarborough area is seeking Personal Assistants to support a 19-year-old young lady during school holidays and weekends, a 2:1 basis, with outdoor activities, walks, swimming and cafe visits. Role includes personal care and occasional outings with the family, with a flexible casual hour bank.

From September, wrap-around college care at home 1:1 is available: Mon–Fri 8:00–9:30 and 15:30–17:30 (3.5 hours/day), term-time only, at £14.30 per hour.

Qualifications

• Experience not required but you must be ok with swimming and like dogs.
• Must be comfortable with 1:1 personal care and support.
• The post is open to female applicants due to the personal assistance required.

Personal Assistants for young lady in Scarborough area

Personal assistants are required to support a 19 year old young lady in the school holidays and occasional weekends. This will include activities at home and out and about on a 2:1 basis. There will also be outings with the family. The young lady enjoys being outdoors, going for walks, swimming and cafe's. She is autistic with learning disabilities and epilepsy and is also doubly incontinent and requires personal care.

The hours are Casual/Ad-hoc with flexibility. We are looking to build a bank of personal assistants so individuals can have flexibility in how many hours they wish to work. Experience is not essential but you must be ok with swimming and like dogs. The pay rate will be £14.30 per hour.

From September we are looking for personal assistants to offer wrap around college care at home on a 1:1 basis. The hours are: Monday to Friday, 8am-9.30am and 3.30-5.30pm (3.5 hours per day). These hours can be shared and would be term time only. The rate of pay £14.30 per hour.
