Job summary

McCarthy Stone is seeking a Zero-hour Care Supervisor to support our team at a retirement community. You will help residents stay safe and independent, respond to emergencies at night, and assist with daily care tasks while coordinating social activities.

Qualifications

• Experience in a senior care role.
• Minimum Level 2 Health and Social Care qualification (or equivalent).
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• A caring, friendly and reliable attitude.
• Team leadership experience is a bonus.

Help older adults live safely, independently, and with dignity - all in a secure and vibrant retirement community.

Pay and Hours

Day shifts:

£15.00 per hour

Sleeping night shifts:

£12.24 per hour

Additional £1 per hour

• Shifts: Flexible day, evening, and weekend shifts
• Scheduled in coordination with the Estate and Operations Managers

Your Role as a Zero-hour Care Supervisor

As a Relief Care Supervisor, you will:

• Support residents' safety, wellbeing, and independence
• Respond to emergency calls during night shifts
• Oversee and assist with day-to-day care tasks
• Coordinate and support engaging social activities
• Foster a positive, welcoming environment for residents and staff
