Job summary
Vp plc is seeking a Customer Support Driver in Castleford to provide excellent customer service by delivering and collecting equipment for customers, suppliers and other Vp businesses. The role emphasizes safe driving, timely handovers, and accurate handling of equipment across a network.
You will support the branch with high-quality technical handovers and respond to basic equipment queries, building strong customer relationships through professional interactions and meticulous process
Qualifications
- Must have multi-drop delivery experience.
- Hold a Category B driving license with a focus on safe driving.
- Ability to engage effectively with customers during handovers.
- Capable of basic numeracy, IT and literacy for admin tasks.
Responsibilities
- Drive company vehicles safely and in accordance with laws.
- Interact with customers during deliveries and collections to ensure a positive experience.
- Clean and test returned equipment thoroughly.
- Use M42 system to streamline operations and track deliveries.
- Use route planning software to optimize routes and time.
- Complete all processes related to deliveries, collections and handovers.
- Undertake mandatory training as required.

On joining our team you’ll be providing great customer service by delivering and collecting equipment from customers, suppliers, and other Vp businesses in a professional, safe, and timely manner.
You will also play a crucial role in supporting the branch and building positive customer relationships through high quality technical handovers and answering basic equipment queries.
- Drive company vehicles safely and in compliance with UK laws, prioritising the safety of yourself and others on the road
- Interact with customers during equipment deliveries and collections, addressing any queries and ensuring a positive and professional experience.
- Perform thorough cleaning and testing of returned equipment
- Use of digital tools such as our M42 system to streamline operations and track deliveries
- Utilize route planning software to optimize delivery routes, minimize travel time, and maximize efficiency
- Accurately complete all necessary processes related to deliveries, collections, and technical handovers
- Undertake any mandatory and other training required to do the job role
- Must have multi-drop delivery experience
- Hold a Category B driving license, with a strong emphasis on safe and responsible driving
- Ability to engage effectively with customers, providing clear and concise information during technical handovers.
- Ability to prioritise customer satisfaction by addressing customer inquiries, ensuring their understanding of equipment usage, and building positive relationships.

- Familiarity with the local area to optimise routes and provide relevant information to customers.
- Display flexibility in adapting to varying job responsibilities and contribute to the overall success of the team and business.
