Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company is seeking a Fuel Handler / Reactor Services Technician for an onsite contract role in Oconee, SC. You will work under the Reactor Services Supervisor to maintain, diagnose, and operate reactor systems and related cooling and monitoring infrastructure.

The role requires 5+ years in reactor operation and maintenance, knowledge of reactor physics and thermodynamics, and a relevant certification or equivalent. Competitive hourly pay ranges with benefits are offered.

• Knowledge of reactor physics, thermodynamics, and mechanical systems.
• Familiarity with industry standards and regulations for reactor safety.
• Certification in reactor operation or maintenance (or equivalent).

About the role:

The Fuel Handler / Reactor Services Technician is responsible for the design, function, and operation of systems. People use these systems in handling, storage, cooling, and monitoring of nuclear fuel, and auxiliary support systems.

You wil report to the Reactor Services Supervisor

Contract position-Onsite in Oconee, SC

Responsibilities:

Perform routine maintenance and repairs on reactors to ensure performance and safety

Conduct diagnostic tests to identify issues with reactors

Collaborate with engineers to design and implement modifications to reactor systems

Develop and implement procedures for reactor operation and maintenance

Provide technical support and training to reactor operators and other personnel

Qualifications:
