Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company LLC through WECTEC Staffing Services seeks a Fuel Handler / Reactor Services Technician to design, operate and maintain reactor systems onsite at Oconee, SC. You will report to the Reactor Services Supervisor and support engineers in modifications and procedures for safe reactor operation.

Qualified candidates have 5+ years in reactor operation, knowledge of reactor physics and thermodynamics, and certification in reactor operation or maintenance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in reactor operation and maintenance.
• Knowledge of reactor physics, thermodynamics, and mechanical systems.
• Familiarity with industry standards and regulations for reactor safety.
• Certification in reactor operation or maintenance (or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on reactors to ensure performance and safety.
• Conduct diagnostic tests to identify issues with reactors.
• Collaborate with engineers to design and implement modifications to reactor systems.
• Develop and implement procedures for reactor operation and maintenance.

About the role

The Fuel Handler / Reactor Services Technician is responsible for the design, function, and operation of systems. People use these systems in handling, storage, cooling, and monitoring of nuclear fuel, and auxiliary support systems.

You will report to the Reactor Services Supervisor

Contract position-Onsite in Oconee, SC
