Job summary

PadSplit is seeking a React Native Mobile Engineer to build and evolve the mobile experience thousands of members and hosts rely on daily. You will help grow our mobile platform, improve reliability, and ship high-quality features quickly across both mobile apps and the React web experience.

The role requires collaborating with product, design, and backend teams, owning features end-to-end, optimizing performance, expanding tests, and guiding technical decisions in a fast-paced startup

Qualifications

• Significant experience building production React Native apps for iOS and Android.
• Strong React.js experience with modern frontend practices.
• Experience consuming REST APIs and collaborating with backend teams.
• Working knowledge of Django/Python environments.
• Familiarity with PostgreSQL or MySQL.
• Experience implementing automated tests for React Native/React.
• Experience with Git workflows and code reviews.
• Startup mindset with ability to work independently and adapt to change.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and improve React Native mobile apps for iOS and Android.
• Support web development with React.js features when needed.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and Backend to ship features.
• Identify bottlenecks and optimize performance across platforms.
• Write clean, maintainable code and participate in code reviews.
• Build and maintain automated tests to reduce regressions.
• Participate in sprint planning and architectural discussions.
• Own technical challenges with speed, scalability, and maintainability.
