Job summary

The Michaels Companies, Inc. in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Material Handler - Equipment Operator to support inbound/outbound freight in a fast-paced distribution center.

You will operate manual and powered equipment to load/unload, and assist with various DC tasks to fulfill store and DC orders. Responsibilities include safety training, routine equipment inspections, and accurate production log documentation.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills.
• High school education or equivalency preferred.
• 2-4 years of prior use of manual and/or powered industrial equipment.
• Demonstrated success working in a production environment.
• Reach Truck or Order Picker Equipment Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload inventory using manual and/or powered equipment.
• Fulfill shipping and receiving orders with material handling equipment.
• Complete periodic safety training and inspect equipment.
• Document production logs and maintain productivity records.
• Support Receiving, Labeling, Putaway, Order Picking and related DC tasks.
• Other duties as assigned.
