Job summary

The Michaels Companies Inc. is seeking an Equipment Operator in our Jacksonville, FL distribution center. This role uses reach trucks and order pickers to load, unload, and process inventory, while keeping records accurate and safe at all times.

Responsibilities include operating equipment, fulfilling orders, and collaborating with the DC team to ensure on-time, error-free distribution across channels. Prior experience with warehouse equipment and a safety-first mindset are preferred.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills required for system entry and documentation.
• Basic math proficiency for counting, weights, and inventory accuracy.
• Good record-keeping and attention to detail for updates and logs.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate reach truck and order picker to load, unload, and move inventory.
• Fulfill shipping and receiving orders with accuracy and timeliness.
• Complete routine safety inspections and report maintenance needs.
• Document production logs and changes in assignments and downtime.
• Assist in multiple DC tasks such as labeling, putaway, replenishment, and order fulfillment.
• Maintain a clean, safe workspace and follow all safety protocols.
