Job summary

Staffmark in Joliet, IL is seeking a Reach Truck Operator to move freight, stack pallets, and keep the warehouse running smoothly. This role requires operating reach trucks, adhering to safety guidelines, and maintaining inventory accuracy in a fast-paced environment.

The position offers 1st shift 7:00am-3:30pm or 2nd shift 3:30pm-12:00am with a pay rate of $21.50–$23.50 per hour. Prior reach truck experience is preferred, and overtime may be required.

Job Duties

• Safely operate reach trucks to move products and materials throughout the warehouse.

• Meet established productivity, quality, and safety expectations.

• Must be able to use operate Reach.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience operating reach trucks in distribution centers or warehouse environments is preferred.
• Forklift certification or experience operating additional powered industrial equipment is beneficial.
• Experience using warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, or inventory software is considered an asset.
• Individuals who demonstrate safe operating practices, dependability, and strong teamwork are well positioned for success as a Reach Truck Operator.
• 6 months – 1-year previous Reach experience preferred.
• Experience using a RF scan gun

Physical Capabilities

• Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and climb on and off powered industrial equipment throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift, move, or reposition materials weighing up to 10 pounds when required.
• Ability to safely work in warehouse environments with elevated storage racks and moving equipment.
• Ability to maintain awareness of surroundings while operating powered industrial vehicles.
• Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time up to hours or more
• Must be able to lift lbs unassisted
