Job summary

Vistar in Portland, OR is seeking a Forklift Operator to support warehouse operations. You will operate forklifts, pallet jacks, reach trucks, and move inventory across staging and storage areas, ensuring GMP standards and quality controls are met.

Schedule is Monday–Friday, 5:00am–1:30pm with overtime. Pay is $21.00–$23.00 per hour, including a $2 freezer differential. Company offers Day 1 health benefits, 401K matching, PTO, and education assistance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent.
• 6+ months of warehouse and/or distribution work experience.
• 6+ months stand up reach forklift experience.
• Must be able to work the scheduled / assigned times and required overtime for the position.
• Able to stand, walk, reach, and lift repeatedly throughout shift; able to lift, stack, and/or pull products from shelves, up to 60–90 lbs depending on location.
• Able to work in multi-temperature environments (cooler, freezer, dry).
• Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Locate proper slots on storage racks; set pallets using forklift or hand stack items; enter product data and location.
• Transport incoming freight to freezer and storage areas with forklift/pallet jack.
• Replenish pick slots with outgoing stock according to next day’s work orders.
• Rotate stock to front of rack and remove outdated inventory per policy.
• Disperse over-stocked items to available slots for temporary storage.
• Inspect pallets and perform safety checks; ensure proper area housekeeping.
