Job summary

Vistar is seeking a Forklift Operator to join our Arlington, TX distribution team. The position runs Mon-Fri from 4:00am until finished, starting at $18/hr with additional $1.50 in freezer/cooler work and $3 in replenishment/putaway tasks.

You will move and store products, perform safety checks, and help maintain efficient warehouse operations. Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of warehouse/distribution and stand-up forklift experience, can work overtime, and stand for long periods while

Qualifications

• 1+ years of warehouse and/or distribution work experience.
• 1+ years of stand-up forklift experience.
• Must be able to operate stand-up forklift.
• Must be able to work the scheduled / assigned times and required overtime for the position.
• Able to stand, walk, reach, and lift repeatedly throughout shift; able to lift 10-35 pounds and up to 90 pounds.
• Able to work in multi-temperature environments (cooler, freezer, dry).
• Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Locates proper slot on storage racks, sets pallets in place with forklift or hand stack items, enters product data and location.
• Locates and performs count check of incoming freight in the staging area and transports to freezer with forklift/pallet jack.
• Replenishes pick slots with outgoing stock items according to next day’s work orders.
• Rotates date-sensitive stock to the front of the rack and removes outdated inventory according to policy.
• Disperses over-stocked items to available slots for temporary storage.
• Removes empty pallets and packaging; inspects pallets for damage and moves them to storage area.
• Follows all safety policies and reports unsafe conditions immediately.
• Performs safety checks, secures equipment, and completes paperwork at end of shift.
