Job summary

Adecco is recruiting a Reach Lift Operator for a client’s Durham, NC warehouse. You will safely operate reach trucks to move, store, and manage inventory, while adhering to safety and quality standards.

The role requires 2-3 years of warehouse experience, a high school diploma or GED, forklift certification or ability to obtain it, and readiness to work a rotating 12‑hour schedule with both day and night shifts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2-3 years of warehouse, manufacturing, or material handling experience.
• Proven experience operating reach trucks or stand-up forklifts.
• Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions with clarity.
• Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand or walk for extended periods.
• Willingness to work overtime, including mandatory shifts as needed.
• Familiarity with inventory systems and OSHA forklift safety standards is preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude to recognize basic equipment issues is a plus.

Responsibilities

This essential role involves safely operating reach trucks to move, store, and manage inventory efficiently. Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate reach trucks and other powered industrial equipment to transport materials throughout the facility.

• Conduct daily inspections of equipment, promptly reporting any issues requiring maintenance.

• Load, unload, stage, and store products in racks, designated areas, and staging zones.

• Support picking, replenishment, and line-side deliveries to meet production and shipping deadlines.

• Verify inventory accuracy by checking counts, locations, and product identifiers.

• Identify and report damaged goods, rack issues, shortages, or discrepancies in locations.

• Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety standards, quality protocols, and housekeeping procedures.

Pay & Schedule:

• Pay Rate: $22.00-$23.65 per hour

• Schedule: Rotating 12-hour schedule (2 days on / 2 days off / 3 days on) with every other weekend off

• Shifts Available:

• Day Shift: 7:00 AM-7:00 PM

• Night Shift: 7:00 PM-7:00 AM
