Job summary

REACH is seeking a qualified helicopter pilot for a full-time position to perform medical air transportation. The role requires a FAA rotorcraft commercial certificate, helicopter instrument rating, and extensive flight hours, including helicopter PIC and turbine time.

The team operates under REACH with a 7/7 schedule and on-duty housing provided. Compensation includes a sign-on bonus, retention bonuses, and stipends, with a 40% geographic modifier.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current FAA Rotorcraft Commercial Certificate.
• Must hold helicopter instrument rating.
• Must hold a current FAA Class I or II Medical Certificate.
• Total flight hours at least 2,000; helicopter hours at least 2,000.
• At least 1,000 helicopter PIC hours.
• At least 1,000 turbine helicopter hours.
• Minimum 100 hours instrument time.
• Minimum 200 night helicopter hours.
• Weight limit 230 lb with gear.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients with a medical flight team to locations, ensuring safety and compliance.
• Ensure aircraft readiness and compliance with FAR/REACH requirements; maintain cleanliness.
• Maintain REACH and regulatory documentation and records.
• Communicate with dispatch, flight crews, facilities and partners.
• Provide shift-change information to the next pilot and team per change-board protocol.
• Maintain required certifications and ongoing training.

HAA PILOT Full-Time Opportunity

We’re hiring a Helicopter Pilot to provide medical air transportation services for REACH customers. Safety is a key pillar of our services.

• Salary Range: $124,263-$136,689 including 40% Geographic Modifier
• 15K Sign-On Bonus, subject to eligibility
• Retention Bonus plans ($40,000 after 3 years plus additional retention bonuses once completed)
• 5K SPIFR Stipend
• 5K Lead Pilot Stipend
• On Duty Housing
• 7/7 Schedule

Responsibilities

• Working with a team of medical experts to safely transport customers to and from locations and facilities
• Ensure aircraft readiness for flight dispatches as described in the appropriate manuals, including all FAR and REACH requirements, and aircraft cleanliness duties
• Maintain accurate REACH and regulatory documentation and record keeping
• Effectively communicate and collaborate with dispatch, flight crews, facilities, and partners
• Provide shift change info to successive pilot and team following protocol for recording a REACH change board details
• Accountable to maintain required certifications and ongoing training
