Job summary

REACH Air Medical Services in Apple Valley, CA is seeking a Helicopter Pilot for a full-time role to provide medical air transportation with a dedicated medical team.

You will ensure aircraft readiness, adhere to FAR and REACH requirements, and maintain accurate flight documentation while collaborating with dispatch, flight crews, and facilities.

Qualifications

• Current Rotorcraft FAA Commercial Certificate.
• Helicopter instrument rating.
• Current FAA Class I or II Medical Certificate.
• Minimum 2,000 total flight hours.
• 1,000 turbine helicopter hours and PIC hours.
• Night hours: 200 hours either night or with instruments.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients safely with a medical team.
• Ensure aircraft readiness and compliance with FAR/REACH manuals.
• Maintain REACH regulatory documentation and records.
• Coordinate with dispatch, flight crews, facilities, and partners.
• Provide shift change information following protocol.

HAA PILOT Full-Time Opportunity

We’re hiring a Helicopter Pilot to provide medical air transportation services for REACH customers. Safety is a key pillar of our services.

• Salary Range: $119,825 - $131,807 including 35% Geographic Modifier
• 15K Sign-On Bonus, subject to eligibility
• Retention Bonus plans ($40,000 after 3 years plus additional retention bonuses once completed)
• 5K SPIFR Stipend
• 5K Lead Pilot Stipend
• 12K Area Float Pilot Stipend
• On Duty Housing
• 7/7 Schedule

Located in Apple Valley, CA

Responsibilities

• Working with a team of medical experts to safely transport customers to and from locations and facilities
• Ensure aircraft readiness for flight dispatches as described in the appropriate manuals, including all FAR and REACH requirements, and aircraft cleanliness duties
• Maintain accurate REACH and regulatory documentation and record keeping
• Effectively communicate and collaborate with dispatch, flight crews, facilities, and partners
• Provide shift change info to successive pilot and team following protocol for recording A REACH change board details
• Accountable to maintain required certifications and ongoing training

Minimum Requirements

• Current Rotorcraft FAA Commercial Certificate
• Helicopter instrument rating
• Current FAA Class I or II Medical Certificate
• 2,000 Total Flight Hours
• 2,000 Helicopter Hours
• 1,000 Helicopter PIC Hours
• 1,000 Turbine Helicopter Hours
• Minimum 100 cumulative hours of instrument flight time
• 200 helicopter hours night hours aided or unaided
• 230 pound weight limit with flight gear

Preferred Qualifications

• EC135 / H135 EC145/H145 Aircraft Experience
• High School Diploma/Equivalent or Higher
