Job summary

REACH, part of Global Medical Response, seeks a HAA Pilot for full-time medical air transport. You will fly with a team of medical experts, ensuring aircraft readiness and regulatory compliance while maintaining thorough flight documentation.

This role requires extensive rotorcraft hours and instrument time, with a strong emphasis on safety and teamwork. The position offers a comprehensive remuneration package with sign-on and retention incentives, on-duty housing, and a demanding 7/7 schedule.

Qualifications

• FAA rotorcraft commercial certificate required.
• Helicopter instrument rating required.
• FAA medical certificate class I or II required.
• 2,000 total flight hours and 2,000 helicopter hours required.
• 1,000 helicopter PIC hours and 1,000 turbine helicopter hours preferred.
• Minimum 100 cumulative instrument flight hours; 200 night hours.

Responsibilities

• Transport customers safely with a medical team, coordinating with dispatch and facilities.
• Ensure aircraft readiness and compliance with FAR/REACH procedures and cleanliness.
• Maintain REACH and regulatory records accurately and timely.
• Communicate with flight crews, dispatch, facilities, and partners effectively.
• Provide shift-change details for REACH change board documentation.
• Maintain required certifications and ongoing training.

HAA PILOT Full-Time Opportunity

• Salary Range: $119,825 - $131,807 including 35% Geographic Modifier
• 15K Sign-On Bonus, subject to eligibility
• Retention Bonus plans ($40,000 after 3 years plus additional retention bonuses once completed)
• 5K SPIFR Stipend
• 5K Lead Pilot Stipend
• 12K Area Float Pilot Stipend
• On Duty Housing
• 7/7 Schedule

Responsibilities

• Working with a team of medical experts to safely transport customers to and from locations and facilities
• Ensure aircraft readiness for flight dispatches as described in the appropriate manuals, including all FAR and REACH requirements, and aircraft cleanliness duties
• Maintain accurate REACH and regulatory documentation and record keeping
• Effectively communicate and collaborate with dispatch, flight crews, facilities, and partners
• Provide shift change info to successive pilot and team following protocol for recording a REACH change board details
• Accountable to maintain required certifications and ongoing training

Minimum Requirements

• Current Rotorcraft FAA Commercial Certificate
• Helicopter instrument rating
• Current FAA Class I or II Medical Certificate
• 2,000 Total Flight Hours
• 2,000 Helicopter Hours
• 1,000 Helicopter PIC Hours
• 1000 Turbine Helicopter Hours

• 200 helicopter hours night hours aided or unaided
• 230 pound weight limit with flight gear
