Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts to safely transport materials and pallets throughout the warehouse.
• Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers.
• Move materials to designated storage, shipping, and production areas.
• Scan and record inventory using the warehouse management system (WMS).
• Assist with picking, packing, stocking, and other warehouse tasks as needed.
• Perform daily forklift inspections and report maintenance issues.
• Follow all warehouse safety procedures and collaborate with teammates to meet daily goals.

This opportunity is based on a Forklift Operator career path and is being offered by Staffmark to qualified candidates.

Education Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous warehouse training or powered industrial truck training is beneficial.

Experience Requirements

• Previous forklift experience preferred
• Experience working in a warehouse or distribution environment is a plus
• Basic computer skills for inventory tracking and scanning

Job Duties

• Operate forklifts to safely transport materials, pallets, and products throughout the warehouse
• Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers
• Move materials to designated storage, shipping, and production areas
• Scan and record inventory using the warehouse management system (WMS)
• Assist with picking, packing, stocking, and other warehouse functions as needed
• Perform daily forklift inspections and report maintenance issues
• Follow all warehouse safety procedures and guidelines
• Work closely with team members to meet daily production and shipping goals

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in warehouse, distribution, logistics, manufacturing, or shipping and receiving is preferred.
• Current forklift certification or experience operating multiple classes of powered industrial equipment is beneficial.
• Experience using RF scanners, warehouse management systems (WMS), or inventory software is considered an asset.
• Individuals who demonstrate safe operating practices, teamwork, reliability, and productivity are well positioned for success as a Reach/Forklift Driver.

Physical Capabilities

• Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and climb on and off powered industrial equipment throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift, move, or reposition materials weighing up to 50 pounds when required.
• Ability to safely operate forklifts in busy warehouse and manufacturing environments.
• Ability to maintain awareness of surrounding personnel, equipment, and inventory while operating powered industrial vehicles.
