Job summary

Sulzer Turbo Services, Houston, Inc. seeks a Senior Product Quality Control Inspector to ensure parts meet specifications and support QA/QC policies. The role involves inspecting parts with metrology equipment, evaluating results, and returning nonconformities to shop teams.

It reports to the QC/Manufacturing Manager and operates on day shift with occasional weekends. Provide feedback to improve processes and assist the drafting department as needed, in a fast-paced, autonomous environment

Qualifications

• Exposure to precision hand tools (micrometers, calipers, height gauges, depth gauges, etc.).
• Willing to learn digital equipment like CMM.
• Make logical decisions and provide inspection feedback to the machinists.
• Be proactive and solution oriented.
• Be familiar with CAD and component drawings.
• Be familiar with GDT per ASME Y14.5M-2009.
• Clear communication, both written and oral.
• Be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Sulzer Turbo Services (STS) is an independent provider of services and repairs of critical turbomachinery. We specialise in the repair, overhaul, and replacement of parts for high-speed rotating equipment such as steam and gas turbines, compressors, expanders, and other industrial rotating equipment found primarily in the Oil & Gas, Pipeline, Petrochemical, Ammonia, Nitric Acid, Fertilizer and Power Generation markets.
