Job summary

Sulzer Chemtech is seeking a skilled gage calibration and inspection professional in Easley, SC, to support our quality system and calibration program.

You will calibrate measurement instruments, interact with external calibration vendors, and participate in continuous quality improvements within a team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Performs gage calibration and dimensional inspection following quality system procedures.
• Participates in quality system development and problem solving.
• Responsible for gage calibration program.
• Work performed with minimal supervision following general instructions.
• Calibrates measurement instruments with in-house capabilities.
• Interacts with calibration vendors for services.
• Performs incoming inspection for designated parts.
• Fills Vendor Corrective Action Requests for manufacturing issues.
• Participates in process improvement and scrap/rework reduction.
• Monitors vendor-foundry quality per quality system.
• Maintains quality system documentation and ensures compliance with procedures.

About the role

Job Summary

• Performs gage calibration and dimensional inspection functions in a team environment, following company policies and quality system procedures.
• Participates in the Quality System development and problem solving efforts.
• Responsible for gage calibration program.
• Work performed with minimal supervision using general instructions.
• Performs gage calibration for the measurement instruments for which there is in-house calibration capabilities;
• Selects and interacts with calibration vendors providing calibration services for manufacturing measurement instruments;
• Performs incoming inspection for designated parts.
• Fills out and files all the Vendor Corrective Action Requests for problems found in manufacturing;
• Participates in process improvement and scrap/rework reduction efforts throughout the manufacturing;
• Monitors the quality of vendor foundries as described in the quality system;
• Responsible for quality system documentation in his/her area. Facilitates compliance with procedures and work instructions;
• Follow procedures according to ISO 9001.
