Job summary

Sulzer is seeking a Production Worker / Technician to join our manufacturing floor in the United States. You will assemble, test, and inspect products, ensure they meet quality and safety standards, and support the production line through defect identification and protocol adherence.

The role requires reading blueprints, using inspection tools like calipers and micrometers, and documenting inspection results. Prior experience in quality inspection is preferred, with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in quality inspection or a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications.
  • Proficient in using inspection tools and equipment.
  • Knowledge of quality control principles and methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Conduct thorough inspections of incoming materials, work-in-progress, and finished products to verify conformance to quality standards and specifications.
  • Utilize inspection tools and equipment to assess product quality, such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
  • Identify and document quality defects, discrepancies, and non-conformances.
  • Initiate corrective actions for quality issues in collaboration with production and engineering teams.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed inspection records and reports.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for quality problems and implement preventive measures.
  • Collaborate with other departments to improve quality processes and procedures.
  • Stay updated on industry quality standards and regulations.
  • Electric motor / rotating equipment repair experience preferred.

About the role
