Job summary

Denton Independent School District seeks a Diagnostician for the RDSPD program to lead comprehensive evaluations and determine student eligibility for special education services. You will coordinate data collection, analysis, and reporting per federal, state, and local rules while advising teachers and families on eligibility and IEP implementation.

The role requires a Master’s degree, Texas SBEC certification or LSSP credentials, and collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Texas certification as Educational Diagnostician issued by SBEC, or Texas License as an LSSP (including trainee status).
• Three years of teaching experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implement and adhere to evaluation procedures and timelines for eligibility.
• Coordinate comprehensive evaluations and data collection per regulations.
• Score, interpret, and report evaluation results for IEP decisions.
• Maintain accurate, confidential records and documentation.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team and parents on IEP development.
• Lead IEP meetings within required timelines and provide guidance on procedures.
