Job summary

Spring Branch Independent School District seeks a Diagnostician, Special Education to lead evaluation processes for students referred to special education. You will interpret data, develop IEPs, and guide ARD meetings with district and campus leadership.

Responsibilities include coordinating assessments, scoring tests, maintaining records, and ensuring compliance with federal/state regulations. Strong communication with parents, staff and administrators is essential.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in educational assessment.
• Valid Texas Teacher Certificate or teaching certificate from out of state.
• Valid Texas educational diagnostician certificate.
• Knowledge of human development and ARD process.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Three years of teaching experience, preferably in special education.

Responsibilities

• Assess referred students using standardized tests and observations.
• Coordinate and prepare Full Individual Evaluation Reports per regulations.
• Plan and staff ARD meetings; ensure documentation is archived and distributed.
• Provide staff development to assist identification and understanding of students with disabilities.
• Support classroom teachers with implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
• Communicate assessment data and educational needs to parents and staff.
