Dexian is seeking an experienced RDK-B/Wi-Fi Embedded Software Engineer for an onsite role in Englewood, CO. The position is a 1-year contract with potential extension and a pay range of $70-$75 per hour.

• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience with embedded systems in an RDK environment.
• Strong proficiency in C and C++ programming.
• Hands-on WiFi experience, including packet analysis, security modes, and configuration.
• Linux experience, specifically with Busybox and bash scripting.
• Solid understanding of networking concepts such as DHCP, DNS, NTP, subnets, and VLANs.
• Experience with debugging tools including GDB, memory debug tools, Wireshark, and packet capture.
• Familiarity with network services and troubleshooting.
• Preferred: Rust, Yocto Project recipes, manifests, and firmware development.

Job Title: RDK-B/ WI-FI Embedded Software Engineer

We are seeking a skilled embedded software engineer with extensive experience in RDK platforms to join our team. The ideal candidate will contribute to developing and maintaining embedded system solutions, leveraging strong programming and network expertise within a collaborative environment. This role offers an opportunity to work on sophisticated networking and firmware projects using industry-standard tools and methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and optimize embedded software applications in C/C++ on RDK-based platforms.
• Implement and troubleshoot WiFi functionalities, including packet analysis, security modes, and configuration using Hostapd concepts.
• Manage Linux-based systems, utilizing tools such as Busybox, bash, and scripting to automate and enhance system performance.
• Design and analyze network configurations, including OCS concepts, DHCP, DNS, NTP, subnets, and VLANs.
• Perform debugging and system diagnostics using memory debug tools, GDB, packet capture utilities, Wireshark, and other network services.
• Contribute to build processes, recipes, and manifests for Yocto projects, with some additional knowledge of Rust considered a bonus.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience working with embedded systems in an RDK environment.
• Strong proficiency in C and C++ programming.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Rust programming language.
• Knowledge of Yocto Project recipes, manifests, and build processes.
• Prior involvement with embedded network device firmware development.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills within networked embedded environments.
