Job summary

Dexian is seeking an experienced RDK-B/Wi-Fi Embedded Software Engineer for an onsite role in Englewood, CO. The position is a 1-year contract with potential extension and a pay range of $70-$75 per hour.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience with embedded systems in an RDK environment.
• Strong proficiency in C and C++ programming.
• Hands-on WiFi experience, including packet analysis, security modes, and configuration.
• Linux experience, specifically with Busybox and bash scripting.
• Solid understanding of networking concepts such as DHCP, DNS, NTP, subnets, and VLANs.
• Experience with debugging tools including GDB, memory debug tools, Wireshark, and packet capture.
• Familiarity with network services and troubleshooting.
• Preferred: Rust, Yocto Project recipes, manifests, and firmware development.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and optimize embedded software applications in C/C++ on RDK-based platforms.
• Implement and troubleshoot WiFi functionalities, including packet analysis, security modes, and configuration using Hostapd concepts.
• Manage Linux-based systems, utilizing Busybox and bash scripting to automate and enhance performance.
• Design and analyze network configurations, including DHCP, DNS, NTP, subnets, and VLANs.
• Perform debugging and system diagnostics using GDB, memory tools, Wireshark, and packet capture utilities.
• Contribute to build processes, recipes, and manifests for Yocto projects; Rust knowledge is a bonus.
