Job summary

Intellectt INC is seeking an experienced RDK-B Triage Engineer to support software releases and troubleshoot complex issues across broadband devices and RDK-B components. The role requires strong expertise in RDK-B, Linux, networking, C/C++, and Python, with focus on production issue triage.

Location is Philadelphia, PA. The candidate will monitor release metrics, investigate field issues, perform root-cause analysis, and collaborate with engineering to drive mitigations and better release

Qualifications

• Experience with RDK-B and broadband device troubleshooting.
• Experience with WiFi/Mesh, DOCSIS, Fiber, LTE networks.
• Strong C/C++ and Python programming skills.
• Linux and networking troubleshooting experience.
• Experience with log management tools such as ELK Stack, Splunk, or Grafana.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Go.
• Experience with Git and GitHub for source control; Jira for defect tracking.
• Knowledge of SQL and data query tools.
• Experience with large-scale device data and operational metrics.
• Ability to perform root cause analysis and resolve complex production issues.
• Experience in a Technical Lead, Senior Engineer, or mentoring capacity.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor software release metrics and alerting systems to ensure timely and high-quality releases across multiple devices.
• Investigate critical field issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement mitigation strategies.
• Troubleshoot end-to-end issues across RDK-B broadband components, including WiFi/Mesh, DOCSIS, Fiber, LTE, or similar access network technologies.
• Perform source code reviews and analysis to identify issues within platform components.
• Diagnose and resolve issues using Linux systems, networking protocols, and packet capture analysis.
• Analyze logs and operational data to identify trends and system issues.
• Develop and enhance operational tools and DevOps solutions to improve system performance and efficiency.

• Develop anomaly detection and data-driven solutions to proactively identify system issues.

Required Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with RDK-B and broadband device troubleshooting.
• Experience with broadband technologies such as WiFi/Mesh, DOCSIS, Fiber, LTE, or similar access network technologies.
