Job summary

Micron Technology, a world leader in memory and storage solutions, seeks an ID1 RDA Quality Engineer to develop and implement quality systems for defect detection and metrology across a global manufacturing network.

You will monitor quality performance, lead corrective actions, and collaborate with process development, yield engineering, and data science teams to transfer technology to high-volume manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Chemistry, Data Science, or related field.
• Experience analyzing manufacturing, process, quality, or engineering data to identify trends and drive process improvements.
• Demonstrated understanding of SPC, root cause analysis, and quality management principles.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present technical findings to cross-functional teams.
• Experience using data analysis tools, reporting systems, or AI-enabled technologies to support decision making and continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain quality control systems, standards, and BKMs for the RDA and Metrology organization.
• Monitor and analyze quality performance metrics, baseline health indicators, SPC compliance, and wafer-at-risk events to identify trends and drive corrective actions.
• Lead or support excursion mitigation activities, FMEA, sampling strategy development, and audit execution, including documentation of findings and improvement recommendations.
• Collaborate with global manufacturing sites, process integration, process development, yield analysis, and data science teams to align quality methodologies and transfer technology to HVM.
• Utilize AI-enabled tools and data analytics to improve process monitoring, quality assessment, problem solving, operational efficiency, and data-driven decision making.
